Hi I'm a second year student and I want to start looking into internships for the next few years of my college career, mainly in the accounting/finance sector.

I'm a solid student, 3.5 GPA and I feel that I can hang with most other students from other schools who would be applying for the same jobs. Recently, I have been looking into Big 4 firms, and although they do recruit at our school, I haven't heard anything on them when it comes to internships, same goes with most other firms. My school doesn't have the career center that other schools in the area (UCLA, USC, etc) have, so I am just wondering what my best chance would be to have a shot at these internships?

I know it might seem like I'm being lazy, but I really have been looking into internships, and most of them say to look into our schools career center, but I have seen nothing from them. Thanks

indeed.com…go down the fortune 500 list, go their web site, and look for internships…simple as that…

You don’t need a dumb career center to help you find a job…be proactive…I’ve never used any type of career assistance (except my mom helping me with my first resume) in my life. I’ve gotten all my jobs/internships on my OWN.
