I’m a freshman from Wisconsin, so I don’t know a whole lot of people here. I’ve made a few friends on my hall, but they don’t like to do a whole lot on the weeknights. I’m fine just studying some nights, but I’m a fairly social person as well so I want to get out on more than just weekends. I can’t really go on East Bank with anyone though because I don’t know anybody
I’m a bit confused- are you looking for things to do, or how to meet people?
For things to do:
St.Paul is quieter than Mpls, but the student union there has movies and a bowling alley.
Shuttles, as you probably know, run between the campuses until the wee hours. You can also walk to the bars and restaurants in Stadium Village or Dinkytown.
Another option is to catch the 87 bus up to Rosedale for shopping, movies and restaurants.
As for making new friends, an easy option is to head to Coffman and take a look through student clubs, see if there’s a group that appeals to you.
