D1 accepted CFANS-OOS.

We visited the campus in August- she loved the school and really liked the St. Paul Campus (her LLC would be housed in Bailey also). With the campus tour, the was a bus ride from the main campus to St. Paul wasn't too bad but i'm worried about the winter months (This is MN..... )

Are there issues with the bus routes being delayed with snow/weather? or issues with the St. Paul students not being able to get to/from the main campus? What about safety on the St. Paul side?

Any feedback on the St. Paul campus and Bailey hall would be great....

I was visiting UMN last weekend. There was a big snowstorm, and the U was closed Monday morning until noon. I got a car ride from St. Paul Campus to Mpls campus that morning, but I think I saw a bus running on the transitway that morning. Multiple buses were definitely running when I took a bus back from Mpls campus to St. Paul campus that afternoon. I think buses being delayed during bad weather is probably a non-issue. Did you know there is a (at least partially) dedicated transitway between the two campuses?
BTW, actual UMN students could obviously answer this better than I can. Any of you out there care to comment?

I lived in Bailey for a year and never a problem with the buses stopping due to the weather. I’m sure if the snow was bad enough to impede the University bus system, classes would be cancelled.

I live near the St. Paul Campus. Yes, it can get cold and snowy, but the campus and area is very prepared to handle it. The U of M is great at handling transportation between the campuses. I’ve never heard of people getting stuck at one campus.
