Fly to Pakistan and hunt down Osama.

Volunteer, read, sleep in, have some fun with friends, study a subject that interests you and your probably won’t get a chance to explore in college, etc. Enjoy your youth while you still can.

Launch a new internet project.

Volunteer! Cheapest way to travel I’m helping out in Ghana over break; got my flight for around $600 roundtrip and the program is only $400. Then I’ll be doing a bit of travel in west africa. Just enjoy freshman year winter break it goes quick!

Cataclysm comes out the 7th of December. I am going to be glued to my laptop for a large part of break. When I’m not doing that, I will be baking with my mother, reading, getting the most out of my Netflix subscription and the super cheap theatre at home, indugling in my few other hobbies, and playing in the snow.

Just think of what you would have done for summer or winter break when you were in high school and go from there.

don’t forget your maleria shot

For some reason I’m really not feeling like going on vacation this winter break… but the tickets are already bought so I guess I’m stuck doing that. I think I’m gonna sign up for winter classes next year so I’ll have an excuse to stay at home.

You could go visit a friend who lives somewhere fun.

You do everything over winter break that you would feel guilty about doing during the year. I.e. doing nothing, video games, nothing but hanging with friends. Stuff that you can’t get away with too much during classes.

Hell, I’m going to sleep, eat, get drunk for New Years’, and do all the pleasure reading I couldn’t do this semester. Is there anything else that matters?

Sheesh! Some folks are workaholics.

I’m going on snowboarding trips all winter break. Do somthing fun.

Do nothing but exercise, eat, hang out with friends, and play video games. I really feel sad for people who are actually going to do things that give them extra-work/stress over the break…it’s really not worth it. Most things you do will be relatively useless, and you are wasting valuable opportunity. The opportunity cost is enormous.

work work work work work work work work work

I’m SO happy to finally have a job after being broke all semester! Even if it’s just a temporary job. But yeah, when you work in retail at Christmas time you’re basically surrendering your life to your job, so that’s all I’ll be doing.

But if I have time I’ll try to work some at the place I interned for over the summer.

Do SCIENCE.

Start a company and get some $$$/merit/experience ;)

Get fat, get skinny again, play poker, get fat again, study for APs and maybe get skinny one more time.

Play video games. Hang out with old high school friends. Work. What else?

I can’t wait to start college breaks! Reading this thread just reminds me that I have only 7 days of break before senior year continues :(

I agree with one above poster. Do stuff that you normally wouldn’t do because you were too busy during the school year. Personally, I’d progress with my freshman 16 (or 15?) because I metabolize stuff too quickly. Either that, or I’d start playing Halo or COD.

Transfer apps, going home to Italy, eat, sleep, drink, be merry
