What to do the ENTIRE month of winter break....?

So it kind of just hit me that now that I am in college, I have ENTIRE month at home. That is a long time for someone who hates sitting at home doing nothing.

What are somethings you guys are planning to do?

I only have like six days off. I am planning a day trip to Chicago which may or may not actually happen and I think that is all.

Transfer applications! What What!

I’m (hopefully) doing an externship during the first week of January!

Then I’ll spend the other part of my winter break reading for pleasure, watch movies, cleaning my room, studying for the GRE, and just spending time with my family since I will be studying in England from February to June =)

For some people, they might go away on trips, work longer hours at their part time job, or even get involved in Alternative Winter Break (which is what I want to do next Winter if I get accepted). Does your school have an Alternative Winter Break program? Try applying for the program if you would like to volunteer.

OR you can just relax! Seriously, after a semester filled with all-nighters, term papers, and exams, you’ll be begging for winter break to come.

Winter Study @ Williams! :)

I’m going on vacation for part of it and then just hanging out with friends (especially ones who are going to college in other parts of the country).

i wish i could think about winter break, right now i’m worried about my grades!!

Whatever I wanna do, gosh.

Working. Hanging out with my boy and my dog.

Maybe going on a mini vacation with the boy :).

Oh, and the two leagues that I run are going to be starting in January, so I’m doing MAJOR registration drives during December lol.

My school offers a winter term class option, so I’m doing that :). It’s sooo awesome. 3 hours of class a day, then just hangin out with friends :)…and a little homework :p.

There’s a lot of things you could potentially do that are productive.

learn something that you’ve always wanted to learn (last winter I got a book on mental maths and learnt how to do all types of calculations in my head)

winter job

prepare in advance for some spring classes if you know the syllabus

winter classes
Lots of other thigns I can think of but can’t bother to list

Personally this christmas I’m planning on studying in advance for one of my spring classes, reading a few interesting books and keeping up with the news, and finally enjoying some time with my old friends from highschool.

Take an intro class at a community college to a science class you might be taking in the spring.

I hibernate during every winter vacation. Like a bear. Or a ManBear. Pig.

It’s going to be interesting for me. My parents moved, so I’ll be going to a city where I know absolutely no one except my fam for winter break.

What I plan on doing:

-Watching tons of NBA games on league pass.
-Reading books that I don’t have time to read, because I’m so busy during the school year.
-Hanging out with my family.
-Programming some games.

As for me, I tested out of 2 semesters worth of Spanish, so I’m going to review a bit before beginning the 3rd semester.

Sleep in every day

Sleeping, Hanging with my family, Reading for fun, shadowing physicians(im premed), and maybe pick up a shift or two at work

wow, how oh so terrible to have off for a month! rolls eyes take a class if you’re so upset about getting to relax. volunteer or something. there’s tons of stuff to do

Sleep. Watch movies. Hang out with friends. ;D snuggle with mah dog. Have a photoshoot. Be a gurL.

This winter break I’ll be driving home, preparing for Christmas, packing for my six months abroad, filling out summer internship apps, trying to teach myself some Danish before I go to Denmark, and spending a lot of time at the bookstore. After all my state-school friends are back in classes, I’m heading overseas to visit my dad before my semester abroad starts.
