What to do; the summer before freshman year

I've been looking for a summer internship and have not found any thus far. Of the internships I have looked at, all of them require that the student is in his second year of college. What types of IB internships, if any, can I obtain this summer? In case you were wondering, I'm currently working at Discover Financial Services (since January) and will be leaving in June because I'm moving to Chicago (attending DePaul University). Is it common for incoming freshmen to have IB internships? All productive input is well appreciated.

take the summer off and enjoy it…you will have enough summers to add to your resume in the future.

agreed (10 char)

You’re in high school. No, you can not get an IB internship. You couldn’t even bring papers from point A to point B for free at a boutique, unless you knew someone there.

I couldn’t agree more. If there’s one summer you should actually enjoy, it’s this one.

It’s not like he’s heading to a target – if he can find a PWM internship it could be beneficial as he tries to climb the ranks each summer and eventually contend with target kids junior year.
