I got wait listed to Exeter. What would be the smartest thing to do to try and get accepted? Im full pay btw. I'm %99 sure the reason I didnt get in was because my SSAT scores were in the high 70's. If I took them again on April 18 (next available date) would that help or would that be too late? Also, I was thinking about sending my most recent report card (better than the one I sent). I was also thinking about maybe getting a science rec. What do u think I should do??

I guess... It is really spontaneous, since you are full pay I will say that it is moderately likely that you will get in if you show devoted interest (not meaning badgering but guaranteeing them a yield from you).

wait srry.. wats a yield?

Principal, as wait lists are longer than usual this year, I thinks it's hard to accurately use the term likely to assess anyone's chances of being taken off the list.

Certainly we can guess there will be many who fall out due to the economy, but many schools took this into account in how many and what type of acceptances they offered (with or without aid). They have very sophisticated enrollment managers who interpret the current economic situation and the liklihood of the accepted enrolling as best they can.

The truth is, no one will know until April what will happen.

Sorry, I was a bit too confident.

My point was it is extremely unlikely that anyone will get off the WL with enough FA, that will result in much "fallout" thus increasing your chances.

ok gotcha :-)
