What to do

My family is moving back down to Brevard County in FL but I decided to stay in CT. If I went to HS in FL i would be going to a better HS but i am not sure how i would fair with stress of new school impacting my grades. The HS i am attending in CT is not a good school at all but my grades are good, i'm involved in many sports, clubs, community service, and have leadership positions. i am also going to be taking 2 AP classes and one AP/UCONN class, the rest are honors level. I am going to be a senior and since my family is in FL and it is where I feel I belong I am planning on attending college there.

Now my question is Should I go down to the new HS and leave behind everything I've built here for a good HS and most likely not have any leadership positions but have residency for when i apply to college OR should i just remain in CT and pay out of state tuition to go to FL? The in state costs are about 25000 and the out of state are about 36000, HUGE difference. ALSO, would i be able to apply for residency if my parents live in FL and I've lived there for 12 years before? If not, would it be wise to take a gap year to gain residency?
