I am having trouble with my SAT Reasoning test and have finnaly come up with a plan that will allow me to study for it one hour every day, but I also need to start self-studing for AP Biology and AP Psychology. I was thinking of doing AP English Language, but I dont want to take the exam if I am probably not going to get a 5 (I can handle the other two APs fine). My recent SAT score in cr and writing were sadly weak. I also plan on taking 3 SAT subject tests one of which will be Biology (dont now what the other two should be yet).

I want to go to an Ivy League school with the major of pre-medicine or a similar major and then plan on medicine school.

Please help me get orginized and figure which subjects to take for AP and SAT subjects and figure out a good schedule from now until may-for AP exams and SAT subject tests.

Thank You

First off-Are you a junior with the typically outrageous workload or are you a soph trying to get everything done early? If you are a soph, you do not need to worry about the SATs until the next summer, and you should focus on your other school work before self-studying for so many APs and SATs. Taking extra APs won't look good if you don't do well in the class or the exam, and even then it is debatable whether it is worth taking the extra APs. If you are a junior and are already taking those APs, you should prep for SATs for the spring (assuming you take it then) and only then study for your APs, as well as the corresponding subject tests (Bio for AP Biology).

I am a junior and have to self-study for my APs because my super dumb school offers no AP courses at all!!!! I am an Internationl student as well and have to finish everything including all paperwork before August. (What a wonderful World) :)

It's best to study for Bio and 1 other AP, since you're pressed for time. If you are comfortable with Precalc, then taking Math II might not be too bad of an idea, and shouldn't take too long to study for. Your other Subject test, again, depends on what your other AP is.

AP Bio probably takes a good deal of prep..get CliffsAP

AP Psych shouldnt be too hard to self-study for from what I've heard.
Get a good prep book and you should be fine! (Barrons I think is pretty good)

AP English Lang shouldnt be very hard if you are good at interpreting reading passages. Not much prep to do. Just a couple of practice tests and learning how to write the essays. Other than that, no memorizing anything. What was your CR score? If it was decent, then I'd recommend thinking about the AP Lang exam. Maybe take a practice test to see where you're at?

If you've taken trig Math II shouldn't be too bad with some review.
Take the Bio SAT around the time of the AP exam (May/June) that way you can prep for both at the same time.
Again, if you plan on taking AP Lang..you could give SAT Literature a try.
If you're taking APUSH or some other honors US History class..a bit of prep for the SAT US History test should be enough.
Unless you're really good at a foreign language?

And for SAT Reasoning..you still got the whole summer to prep for that if needed! So I wouldnt stress about it TOO much if you got so much other stuff going on. I guess you can give it a try and see where you are so you know what sections you need help with.

Good luck with everything!

I'm a junior as well and I know I'm pretty stressed with AP/SAT stuff as well!
