I want to become an immigration lawyer. I want to double major. I am already set on majoring in economics but I want another degree with it.

Also is Econ a B.A or B.S?

Econ is a BA.

You should pick a major where you have to learn to write/read well (poli sci, history, legal studies, rhetoric) and take lots of classes in the “studies” (Asian American, ethnic, Latino American, etc.) areas so you can get background.

Why do you want another degree?

You can major in anything for law school, but just curious, why are you so set on double majoring? I think you will also want to learn Spanish (if you’re not already fluent) or some other “immigrant language” (not trying to be racist/stereotypical, but you get my drift) since that would certainly be very helpful with client interaction etc. in the future.

I think Ethnic Studies would be good. I know one person in it who really enjoys the major.
