What to Major in during Undergrad

Hey everyone I'm looking for some help deciding on a major for my Undergrad education at Miami University (Ohio). I'd like to get into Trading but I'm not quite sure what the best major(s) would be for this job. I'm interested in economics, finance and accounting. Would double majoring in any of these be a smart idea? If so which two do you think would be most beneficial.

As for internships I was wondering how Chicago would be for summer internships. I live really close to the city and want to try to get some experience next summer.

One piece of advice: your exact major actually doesn't matter all that much. As long as you take a lot of relevant coursework in econ/finance, even if you major in philosophy you can still get a great job. That being said, choose which one of those majors most interests you...seriously, if you hate a subject you probably won't do well in it and that'll just kill your chances at a good trading job. Also think about a math major...veryyy useful in banking!

Yeah math seems like a great major for banking. I've been learning more and more about the stock market and am completely hooked.

If I were to pursue some sort of trading career when should I go for an MBA? I Know people who went right after College and then those who waited a few years so it's kind of confusing.

except in special circumstances, most of the top MBA schools would like to see you work for a few years before you go for your masters. So try to get a job at a bank, and then they might even subsidize your education for you!
