My first choice housing is at Santa Rosa and I know that there's going to be like 20 people per each large bathroom. Does everyone use a bathrobe to get to the showers or are there people just in towels, because I really don't want to buy a bathrobe but will to give in to the peer pressure. xD

Also, I'm going to buy a lot of things from this website:
College Dorm Room Bedding & Twin XL Sheets by RHL

For those that bought from the same site or company, what things should I definitely buy or be wary of, or avoid buying?

Oh, and also, should I get an egg crate pad or memory foam, or both?

I’ll bump this since I really want to know the answers as well, especially about bathrobes vs. towels

My D just moved in to San Nic last week and did not want a bathrobe. Well, apparently she also has caved to peer pressure, so I just mailed her one.

I saw a lot of memory foam pads on move in day. I’d recommend one-her bed is pretty cush with one.

We ordered flannel sheets from Lands End on clearance-the inside of the dorms are pretty chilly. She says its warmer outside than inside, but at night is warm enough with one fuzzy blanket and a comforter.

Thanks for the help, MIMI! It’s weird though that there was a post that gave really good advice on the towels vs. bathrobes situation…but it was deleted.

What about alarm clocks?
Or is your cell phone good enough?

I was a freshman last year and did FSSP as well. The first few weeks everyone seemed to use a bathrobe, but everyone ended up getting lazy and just using towels haha. Personally, I brought a bathrobe, used it a few times the first few weeks, and then it sat in the back of my closet collecting dust. So it isn’t really needed.

Most people just use their phones for alarms, and it works just fine.

Some things you might want to bring you might not thing of:
Duct Tape. You’ll find more ways to use that in college than you knew were possible.
A small tool kit. You never know when tools will come in handy. My roommate and I were hungry late at night when the front desk (which had a can opener) was closed, so we used a screw driver and hammer to pry open a can of spaghetti-o’s.
A cable cord if you’re bringing a TV. There’s a few they have to loan out but those go quick.
Power strips. Between computers, cell phones, and lamps, you’ll always be running out of outlets.
Adhesive hooks. You can put these on the inside of closet doors and use them to hang jackets, jewelry, etc.

Anyways that’s all I can think of right now, but feel free to ask anymore questions you have!
