Just follow the dress code, guys (and gals). The interview period is over. You have been accepted. We attended the Exeter revisit yesterday and with the exception of the big plastic nametag on a lanyard, son blended right in by wearing jeans, oxford cloth button down with tie, twill jacket, brown belt and topsiders (no socks, Hcos
). Almost every other boy we saw revisiting was more formal, with chinos and a few sports coats, but son looked just like an Exonian. If he had worn dress shoes, chinos and a blazer, he would have felt more like a visitor.

@Jyun How does all those spikes from the mowhawk fit in the football helmet.

Lemmings, are you being serious about the crocs? If so, no. Not at all.

Itās not gel gelles so it can be spiked down. It is not comfy plus at the start of the season I had a buzz cut but I just shaved the sides. I feel Iām questioned about every single thing lol

@lemmings idk you just donāt do it EVER unless it winter and you cannot see the socks
i cannot stress this enough like i would jumping up and down screaming NO SOCKS, NO SOCKS, NO SOCKS its like it canāt explain it Neato can you help me out

it also one of my pet peeves uh just thinking about it gets me worked up

Iām a girl and i agree w/ Hcos. Socks are not generally that good looking, so if you wonāt die without them, why wear them? Donāt worry, I have a million pet peeves haha.

Hey, a dress with tights and Uggs is perfectly fine (tons of girls wear that in the colder months). But be sure to check the weather; if itās going to be warm and sunny like it will be here on the 3rd and 7th, or rainy (like it is today), dress appropriately. But if it looks like it will be relatively cold (say, mid 40ās or colder) and dry, thatās a fine choice!

If itās warmish and dry:
FOR BOYS:
-khaki pants
-loafery shoes (or boat shoes-most students wonāt be wearing them, but you should look nice)
-button-up shirt (pastel is nice)
-blazer (optional-itās about 50/50 revisiters with and without blazers. once again, this is more formal than what current students will be wearing, but you should make an effort to look nice on revisit day)
-be clean and well groomed (clean shaven!)
FOR GIRLS:
-dress (appropriate length, so not more than three or so inches above the knee, in a nice, springy style)
-cardigan (if necessary for the style of the dress-remember, fit the dress code!)
-nice shoes (i recommend flats, but low heels or sandals are also acceptable. YOU WILL BE WALKING A LOT)
OR
-blouse (many, MANY options, but nice and appropriate)
-appropriate length skirt/shorts OR slacks
-be neat and well-groomed

if itās rainy, have a rain coat and boots, and girls, try to stick to pants in this event.
do NOT NOT NOT wear jeans, sweats, t-shirts, or athletic wear OF ANY KIND.

hope that helps!
(I for one will likely be wearing this new navy cotton skirt I got and a gray t-shirt with gold flip flops. very comfy).

NOOOO donāt encourage the Uggs! especially when itās warmer! O.O

NOT in warm weather! I left mine at home when I went back for spring break. No one really wears them now that itās warmer, weāre all itching to wear sandals and whatnot (I am, anyway).

well personally, I prefer barefoot over any kind of shoes. So i wish we could go barefoot to class. But alas, thatās against the dress code (or is itā¦thereās probably not an actual RULE against itā¦hmā¦ideaā¦I MUST check this outā¦)

agreed. I just hate getting my feet dirty though. >[ i like shoes sometimes though. ;)

baha i dare u to try that out lol

haha nah Iād probably just end up embarrassing myself (like I donāt do that everyday? lol).

doesnāt matter if people laugh, thatās the point. lol jk

have u seen those shoes that are are like formed to your feet? toes and all

How short is too short for dresses and skirts? I obviously wonāt come wearing a micro-mini, but skirt length is a gray area. Is above the knee acceptable? How far above the knee?

And ohmygosh, Rad, I totally have a pair of those! I only wear them for wakeskating and climbing, though.

good, good >| somebody totally wore those out and about like normal and everyone was like āummmā (not to be shallow, but yeah)

I was planing on wearing a dark color of jeans to my revisit day. Many people wear them at the school Iām going to. Is that okay?

scaredbutchill, i saw tons of visiting students wearing jeans with rainboots today during revisits, so it should definitely be okay.
i wore a sweater dress with leggings and rainboots.

okay, thanks tuesdays :)
