I will be revisiting soon and it will be 37 degrees.... i was wondering what to wear.... btw i m a girl

BUMP!!!help

How about tights and a sweater dress. Dress boots or Uggs. Northface. You’ll fit right in.

It will probably be a bit warmer than that over the next two weeks in New England for re-visit days, but the clothing HereWeGoAgain2 suggested is what I see a lot of girls wearing daily at the preps. Not too short on the dress…

something warm

^^something at least

LOL hootoo. I’ve really enjoyed your humor on CC.

New England temps can really vary even during the day so I would suggest layers - shirt, sweater, jacket - so you can peel one off if it warms up throughout the day. Skirt and shirt/sweater or dress with tights to keep you warm would be fine. You could wear dressier pants as well.

At my daughter’s prospective school, it’s Academic Casual day. No blazer is required, but I wonder what the girls actually do wear. Uggs are only permitted during winter term, otherwise leather shoes with a back.

She will probably wear khakis and a nice sweater or something, or a dress if we can find an appropriate one.

I’d love to hear more ideas. Much easier for the guys to just throw on a polo shirt and khakis!

My suggestion would be to look at the school’s dress code - most often it can be found online in a publications section of the website - and go by that.
Formal dress codes for girls are much harder than boys to be sure. And, much less “formal” actually.

One school my daughter toured at said no pants with pockets (any, not just cargo, we asked). That would be hard!

We should have watched what the girls had on more closely during our tours!

^^ No pockets? Wow. Reminds me of the grandma of an old boyfriend who ‘interviewed me’ as only grandmas can…she said I was a nice girl & hoped that I didn’t wear any pants that had zippers in front…that it was proper for ladies to only to wear pants with zippers on the side. I made sure to wear only dresses or skirts around her…didn’t have pants with side zippers!

2kidsnoanswers I am ROFL!!!

That is too funny!!!

I know one school that allows pants but no “patch pockets.”

I don’t think there’s a set dress code, but I would suggest you wear something warm and comfortable. As long as you don’t look like you just got out of bed, it should be fine :)
