Thanks to the advice of doame, I've been offered interviews from four departments next week. I'm now wondering what I should wear to each of them. Would it be necessary for me to wear one of my suits, or just go in my normal clean class clothes?
thanks

btw they’re all positions for office assistant jobs, if that helps
also, I was just planning on wearing nice fitted button downs in black, grey, and navy with dark jeans or slacks and oxfords.

Great news micL

What you’ve described sounds wonderful. Nice normal, clean class clothes are fine too. Wear the type of thing you might wear on a casual date. They know they are hiring a student & don’t expect you to come in in a suit or professional office attire. I can tell from your question you wouldn’t…but don’t wear anything worn looking, wrinkled, faded or t-shirts & old shorts. If you really like the look and feel of an office, don’t be shy or wary of telling them. Say something like…“I really like the feel of this office and would like to work here”. Good luck …

Thanks Again doame!!
your advice has been fantastic and I can’t thank you enough!

Probably something business casual. Nice slacks, button-up shirt.

SO HAPPY AND THANKFULL FOR DOAME
I was offered two jobs on the spot today after my interviews!!!

Wonderful micL – Well-done you!

A little proactive effort to go get what you want will rarely disappoint.

Instead of making a new thread, I thought I’d just post it here.

I have an interview Thursday. I’m going to go in dress pants and a shirt and tie.

When I applied, they asked for previous employment history, special skills/experience, etc.

Should I still bring a resume?

it’s actually extremely easy to get accepted to a work-study job, so lose the bloated ego.

i think i did my interviews a few years ago in jeans and a polo tee, lol. srabiee90 is right, it’s very easy to get a work-study job, as long as you don’t have a criminal history and/or drug record lol.

Jeans and a nice short sleeved button up should be fine then?

I don’t have a bloated ego, I’ve just never had a job before.
