What colleges are known for accepting more out of state community college transfers than the others?
Notre Dame, Tulane, Emory
Hi–If you’re interested in transfer statistics, you can google and That will get you the full report of the college’s statistics. Section D. Transfer has the transfer information in general, but not by out of state applicants.
Generally, though, if a college is private, OOS is less of a consideration compared with public schools, I would guess. I’m not sure. In general, except for cost TO YOU, I’m not sure that OOS is a big concern for schools, unless a public school would like to attract a student who pays more.
Be sure to check the school’s financial aid policies for TRANSFER students. It can be different than for freshman admits.
Private colleges don’t have a preference but state schools (like California UCs/CSUs for example) do, like I think UNC Chapel Hill has to accept a large amount of in-state applicants same with UCLA, for example. I would look into privates because they don’t care about in-state/OOS stataus (all applicants pay the same)
