Hello. I have taken a full time year of college but have performed not to my standards. So i have choosen to take those classes over part time and continue part time until i am ready to transfer to a University. I am currently part time at a community college with 45 credits. 30 of those credits are the retakes from when i was a full time student.
Doing some research i have found that Harvard does not accept part time credits. Which other universities do not accept part time credits for transfer? Which universities do accept part time credits for transfer?
I am making a list of possible universities i can transfer to.
GPA: 4.0, after retaking the classes as part time.
SAT: 2350
EC: clubs, volunteer hours, work, all that jazz.
What exactly do you mean by part time?
If you are taking regular college classes, it doesn’t matter one bit whether you are enrolled in enough courses to qualify as a full-time student, or if you only take one one credit course. Those all are college credits. And yes, you could study less than full-time for a while and then apply as a transfer to any place that accepts transfer students.
If you mean that you are taking classes to recover your GPA after a bad start at your first college/university, then you are correct that every place you apply to will have its own way of interpreting your transcripts, and may or may not consider that the new courses fully replace the old failed ones.
They will see that you needed two tries for many courses, which would not be a good thing.
