What was/is your High School Social Science sequence?

So, I recently started a science sequence thread and I was also wondering what social studies sequence you are all are doing and what the normal sequence at your school is.

Since my high school was a STEM magnet school, our social science sequence was actually relatively simple.
10th grade: Honors World History and Geography 2
11th grade: APUSH or honors US history (I took APUSH because of a schedule conflict)
12th grade: AP US Gov

the catch is you still need 4 credits to graduate, but the last class cannot be AP to fulfill the requirements. I took Honors World History and Geography 1 during the summer before junior year. A lot of students do summer school to make up the credit. Some classes that fulfill the requirement include: History of Science; America and the World; 20th century history.
AP Euro is offered as an elective, but doesn’t fulfill the requirements.

Ours is a little complicated since we just changed American History to be a year long course (2 semesters, not necessarily in the same year).

The current sequence that I’m following is:
9th: World History Honors
10th: American History 1 Honors
11th: APUSH (this or American History 2 Honors/Regular)
12th: Civics and Economics Honors

I’m also planning to take AP Gov and AP Psych senior year. Many people take these electives whenever.

@guineagirl96 that sucks about the credits
@MissSuzyQ are you going to be taking 3 social sciences as a senior with Civics and Economics Honors, AP Gov and AP Psych

9 AP Human Geography
10 AP World / AP Art
11 AP US
12 AP US/Comparative Govt, Macro/Micro Econ, Psych

@IAmNotCreativ‌ yes, I am. I want to take AP Gov and AP Psych sooner, but I don’t really have room in my schedules.

9th - No Social Science requirement. You can take whatever you want. Some, such as myself, take AP Human Geography
10th- World History, AP World History, or AP Euro
11th- US History or AP US History / IB HL History
12th- Gov/Econ, AP Gov/AP Econ, unless you’re in the IB program, then you just take HL History Year 2

9th - Either AP NSL (Government) or Honors World History (HUSH)
10th - AP NSL (if you didn’t take it in 9th grade) or APUSH
11th and 12th depends on the person but you must take World History (Honors or AP) either 11th or 12th grade.

What I did / am doing:
9th - HUSH
10th - AP NSL
11th - AP Econ
12th - Honors WH and AP Psych (maybe?)

What’s easier, AP Econ or AP Pysch? What do you guys think?

My school is really annoying with courses -_-
9th–Geography/Health
10th–World History
11th–APUSH or US History (there generally aren’t many APUSH classes–only three this year–as it’s considered death and you get 2 hours of homework a night–and most people at my school usually take several other APs)
12th–Gov/Econ

We also have AP Psych, regular Psych, AP World, AP Human Geo, and Ethnic Studies as electives for juniors and seniors; however, there generally only lots of classes of Psych and Ethnic Studies; pretty much no one takes AP World or APHG.

AP Psych is much easier than Econ, IME

My school has so many different options.
9th: Civic/ Econ CP
10th: World History Honors
11th: US History Honors
12th: Probably AP Gov

@skieurope‌ Thanks.

Standard:
9: World History
10: American Studies
11: random elective or no social studies (only possible year to skip it completely)
12: semester of Gov & a random elective, if one isn’t taken junior year

Typical Person I Know:
9: World Cultures
10: APUSH or American Studies; most take the latter, though kids with A’s in World Cultures tend to be in the former
11: AP Psychology, AP Euro, or two random electives
12: semester of Gov or full-year AP Gov

Nerd Track (my track)
9: Honors World Cultures
10: APUSH
11: AP Psych, AP Euro, or in a few instances, both
12: AP Gov

I wish my school offered AP World History or AP Human Geography, as both sound interesting, but not enough people would sign up to make either feasible.

9th: World History Honors
10th: AP US Gov’t & AP Macroeconomics(Most at my school do this senior year, but I wanted to do it this year)
11th(Upcoming): AP US History
12th: None or AP Microeconomics

Required to graduate:
World History 1
World History 2 (I took AP World)
US History (APUSH)
US Government (College Government)

I’m planning to do:
Freshman: We don’t have one :frowning:
Sophomore (Current): AP World History (World History is a requirement) and AP Human Geography (also self studying AP Comparative Government because I want to learn more about Polysci [thinking of majoring in it])
Junior: AP US History
Senior: AP US Gov and Macroeconomics

We don’t have an official order, but most people take:
Ancient & Medieval History
AP European or Europe and the Modern World
AP or regular United States History
Then a year/half year elective (Global Issues (Asia and non-Asia), Economics, Modern Political Theory, U.S. Since 1968, or War and Peace)

Some people don’t take a social science in senior year.

@Faultystart the senior year electives look so interesting… I wish my school offered some (any?) alternates to US Gov and Econ (like, they’re not even AP) senior year (even comparative gov–that would be super-interesting), but we’re stuck the way we are.

And I hate Econ. Gov is still somewhat interesting, but nope. No Econ.

@topaz1116‌ Yeah, some of the electives sound really cool. I can’t wait until senior year to take some of them!

9: Regular Global History 1
10: Honors Global History 2
11: AP US History
12: AP Macro/Micro & College Government
