I’m taking World History and I’m a freshman so I was wondering…
You can find it on the college board if it’s an AP class.

Depends on state for NY its:
9 - World History
10- World History
11 - US History
12 - Gov/Econ
Do you mean high school sequence?
Typically, World History or Human Geography or both Freshman year; another history (World or European) sophomore year; US History junior year; (AP) government or (AP) economics or AP World/AP Euro or two of those, senior year.
It depends on which school you go to, for mine it’s:
Freshman Year: Honors/CP World Geography or AP Human Geography
Sophomore Year: CP/AP World History
Junior Year: CP/AP U.S. History
Senior Year: CP/AP Economics and CP/AP Government
Juniors and seniors also have the option to take AP Psychology as an elective. I know some schools that offer AP European History for sophomores and upperclassmen, but my school doesn’t.
At my school, this is the sequence:
Freshman: World History or World History Honors
Sophomore: American History 1 or American History 1 Honors
Junior: American History 2, American History 2 Honors or AP United States History
Senior: Civics and Economics or Civics and Economics Honors
AP Human Geography can be taken all four years.
These are the other courses that can be taken as an elective once you reach sophomore year:
AP Psychology
AP Government and Politics
AP European History
At my school, it’s:
Freshman year: Western Civ and Economics (both year-long)
Sophomore year: World History (no AP option)
Junior year: US History or APUSH
At any point, but required: Government/AP US Government and Personal Finance
The only social science electives we have are Civil War and Vietnam War.
For me:
Freshman: no freshmen take history lal
Sophomore: World History (core requirement, no AP)
Junior: (AP) USH
Senior: 1 sem of (AP) Macro, 1 sem of (AP) Gov.
Fresh: Geography or AP Human Geography
Soph: World History or AP World History
Junior: American History or AP American History
Senior: AP Maco Econ 1/2 yr/ AP US Gov 1/2 yr
SS Electives: AP Euro History, AP Psych, AP Sociology, Academic Decathlon, Micro Econ,
Literally the exact same as @MissSuzyQ :-/ lol
In the Great Parallelogram State, it’s:
Freshman/Sophomore: World History (AP, Honors, or standard; at my school, if AP, must be sophomore year.), APHG, or AP Euro (sophomore)
Junior: USH (any level)
Senior: 1 sem Gov at any level, one sem Econ.
Oh I’m sorry! I thoug you meant APWH curriculum, not progression! At my school it is…
Freshmen - Academic (regular) or Honors Modern World History
Sophomore - Civics (semester), Economics (semester), AP Gov
Junior - APUSH, College American Studies, Honors/Reg AMST, Reg/Honors USH, Psychology, AP Euro, Sociology, Contemporary Issues
Senior - anything below

At my school:
Freshman-US History I
Sophomore-World History
Junior-Us History II
Senior-Usually none.
^newjerseygirl98: that’s bad, because most selective universities want to see 4 years of social science/history.
“Social studies” is a really vague term and can refer to all sorts of fields.
At the HS I attended, the typical social science track was:
9th: Reg/AP World History
10th or 11th: Reg/AP US History
12th: Economics/government (each 1 semester long)
My school, in California:
Freshman: World Geography
Sophomore: World History OR AP Euro
Junior: APUSH OR Regular US History OR American Studies (combined English and Social Studies class)
Senior: Econ/Gov, semester classes that are required, APs offered
