Please let us know does everyone get accepted or how do they filter the students?

last year was 0% i believe. 2012 was 100%! :o

I’m not sure if you’re a transfer or coming from high school, but I am telling it from a transfer perspective.

I was waitlisted to UC Irvine 2012 with a 3.33GPA in Anthropology. I was planning to go to UCSB, but I decided to save money and commute.

I’ll be graduating this spring from UC Irvine, if you guys have any questions feel free to let me know.

I got off the wait list and accepted to my first choice of major–Computer Science…SO GREAT!!

I thought the waitlist results come only in May for students coming from high school.

they doing it early, underenrolled i guess

@juzzjuzz what were your stats

Not strong stats. Sat 2000 with a sat subject test math level 2 780

gpa?

How does this look for the appeals if they are accepting off the waitlist?

Very good in theory…

don’t get your hopes up though, its an appeal. not the highest chance of it going thru

The following stats are for 2013:

Irvine

Waitlist - 3,347 waitlist offers went out; 1,552 students opted in; none were admitted.

Appeal - 1,264 appeals received; 38 students were admitted.

Comparing 2013 to 2014 admissions at UCI: School admitted a total of 1,395 fewer students in 2014 (2,098 fewer California students, but an additional 295 out-of-state, and an additional 408 international students). See chart below:
