What was your hook

Firstly, my apologies for being inexplicit.

In regards to your chances for admission: you definitely still have a chance. In fact, it sounds like you have a very good chance from what I have heard. No one is perfect, and not taking the absolute most difficult courseload will not put you out of the running.

Indeed, I was happy to hear of my acceptance. I didn't really do anything, though. I just sat there to think and let it sink in for about an hour.

Later, I was actually asked if I cried after reading the letter. I responded that I certainly did not.

David- if I don't get in, I'll probably try to transfer every year until I do.

And, after being on the Brown board for a while, I have a proclamation to make:

Brown is my first choice. It is no longer tied with anything. :)

It feels good to finally say it! LOL.

PS- sorry to my Gtown buddies who are reading this! I still love Georgetown, I just now relaize that I would fit in better at Brown. No hard feelings!

Haha yea I'm sure everyone reacts differently, you never really know until it happens to you I guess. Thanks for the input, I'm trying my hardest to resist putting up an all-out "what are my chances?" post, but it's hard, oh so hard!

Hahaha I'm gald I could be here for your enlightenment. I feel the same way as you...Brown is my #1, and if I knew how to put it in bold, by all means, I would!

It's nice to have you fully aboard, calidan.

G-town is prbably one of my second or third choices, too...maybe Wesleyan is in there

Go ahead and put it up, david, if you wish.

Put what up, the bold?! I don't know how!

Wesleyan seems to be a popular second choice with Brown hopefuls. I wonder why I didn't even consider it.

Yay! Brown... my new CC home.

And to make things in bold, this is what you do:

start out by puting [ b ] in front of what you want to make bold (but without the spaces), and at the end of the thing you want bold, put / b . There you are!

I meant put up a "what are my chances" post.

I LOVE BROWN!!!

Like this, friend: This is bold.

There you are. Italics work very much the same way.

thanks caladian, i think those are a fitting first 3 words in bold. I am going to be up late tonight becuase I am eatin gall of my valentines day candy.

And the same goes for italics and underline, just replace the B with an I or a U, respectively.

Sure, David. Anything to help procaim your love of Brown. LOL

Yes, it is basically using simple HTML code.

This seems like the only part of CC where everyone isn't so cut-throat, it's great. it is also amazing how this site attracts so many intelligent kids. I came across it through a google search, but I haven't told *anyone/i else about it.

I can't remember how I found it. I just know I've known about it for a long time.

It's quite disconcerting at first, but then you realize that everyone who posts here is part of a very exclusive minority
