whoo-hoo!

Why exactly do you think people on the internet would care to see what your grades are? Are they your parents? Are they the college admissions people?

Or do you just want to show off (I think that's it)?

By the way, did you know most people on College Confidential would just get called "total nerds" and/or "losers" in real life? LOL. I just realized that.

Pssh... Im not a loser! (Does just saying that make me one?)

And yes, it is to show off.

I really am ashamed...ugh. For the record, I go to a well-established school. And my letter grades are often made up by the effort grades they give us ( 1-5, 1 being the best, 5 being the worst). I've made honor roll every term at this school ( High Honors once, but that was pure luck).

END-OF-YEAR GRADES
Honors English- A-
Honors French- B+
Algebra I- B+
American History- A ( would be A+, but my teacher doesn't give them)
Chemistry- B+ ( had a little trouble in the middle of the year...science is very hard for me)

FINAL EXAM GRADES
Algebra I- A
Honors English- A-
American History- A
Chemistry- ( final project) A
Honors French- B ( considering how I was sick for the last day of review, when I planned to ask the questions, I'm not too crushed)

Weighted GPA for the year- 3.72

That's it...go ahead and laugh, at least I got good effort grades ( five 1s and five 2s, very good for my school and my teachers particularly)

"And yes, it is to show off."

At my school, and also the way I've been raised, it's considered low manners to discuss grades (even if they're quite good).

Also, it's considered lame to show off. If you're good enough, people will be impressed by you naturally. If you feel the need to have to declare how good you are (on an internet messageboard in which no one knows you anyway, which is even more pathetic), it's pretty lame.

It's considered doubly lame to show off your grades, because even if you're a 4.0, it's not that impressive.

It's not like no one else on earth gets As or has every gotten As. Whoop dee doo.

Well, at my school we show off. I don't go to a school full of smart people, but they all sure love to hear about how smart I am.
And I've never heard that its "low manners" to discuss grades...I think that's really weird. And if everyone else is discussing their grades like its no big deal, then it must not be "low manners" to them either. Would it also be improper to have people with high GPAs in the newspaper..that would be discussing grades, wouldnt it? That happens too. You must have been raised in crazytown.

I guess this is just a big thread full of "doubly lame" people. If we want to talk about our grades and be soooo uncool, you don't have to participate.

wow. I think you're a bit jealous. And very rude yourself. Just because you don't want to discuss grades doesn't mean others can't. And for the record,YOU are on this message board and have posted over 400 messages. So even though you may think that we are pathetic, you still spend the most time here. Pff.....just go away

oh, but all of PEALS-05's posts are all in cool things like Movie Discussion and Rank the Cheerleaders. so we're bigger losers.

haha we said the same thing, Moni
