What will it say on dec. 11th?

will it just say “status: accepted” or “status: deferred” or “status: rejected”?? what will the website actually say when we check on december 11th??

i think there will be a link saying "click here for your admissions decision" or something like that. and that will lead to an actual letter. i'm not sure though

but does anyone know like what the letter said last year??
like "we regret to inform you. . . " or something all happy and musical like how if u get into yale bull dogs start barking and singing and stuff

It reveals the actual letter that will be mailed to you. I think if you search this forum, you may find students who posted the actual wording.

Having applied last year, the rejection letter says:
The Brown Board of Admission has completed its evaluation of nearly **** applicants to the Class of 201* and it is with great regret that i must inform you that your application could not be included among our aceptances.

I hope i don't get this letter again!

just from reading that i can almost anticipate the depressing thud in my heart that i would experience from actually getting it

Hey, I just kinda stumbled onto this site, and I have a question...I thought that the ED decisions were given out on the 15th not the 11th?

For Brown this year, it's the 11th. My friend tells me that Penn ED decisions will be released on the 13th.

The ED results come out on 5pm Dec 11th EST, in my opinion.

Brown's is the 11th, but it's different for different schools, so that might've been where you got the 15th.

You know, I had the December 15 date in my head too, and I don't know why. I think I saw "mid-December" and just slapped a number on it without reading the very bottom of the email. :P

15 is the typical number for most schools, but the email with your password or whatever explicitly says the 11th (but it doesn't say 5:00PM)

Dec. 15th is pretty much the date that all early programs are required to inform their applicants of their decision. With the advent of the internet I guess Brown is just able to disseminate the information better. You'd probably get your mail on the 15th if you couldn't check online

Well just imagine what it was like to recieve that letter in April!

Not that this is really what this thread is about, but barking and singing bulldogs? Dang, if Yale had mentioned THAT when I visited, I probably would have been a whole lot more interested.

(I kid, I kid. I wouldn't really make a major life decision based on barking and singing bulldogs. But--barking and singing bulldogs!)

I hope it comes before 5PM... the earlier the better to end my agony

from my app status page:
"Decision letters for Early Decision applicants will be mailed Thursday, December 11, 2008. Decisions will also be available on this site at 5 pm (EST)."
