what will my gpa be? And what are my chances of getting into college?

I messed up big time this year. I failed every class with a 0. I dont even know for sure. After football season ended i just started smoking i skipped more then half the school year never went to my math class and got suspended a lot. I'm starting over this year i will be a sophmore (i didnt flunk) i'll be at a new school and i've decided to give it my all. I know i can get good grades and i am hoping for a's which im almost positive i can do. What will my gpa be? And do i have any chance of getting into college with my crappy freshman year??

There are colleges that will accept you if you simply just graduated high school. Miami University of Ohio will automatically accept you if you completed high school (and I think they said something about automatic acceptance if your parents never went to college.)

What school in miami? And i want to know my chances of getting into good school mainly the university of washington. or NYU

I smell ■■■■■.

^The fact that the poster doesn’t have any posts outside of this forum gave it away.

Seriously? I joined today and since i am a sophmore and know ZERo about college i don’t see where else i can post. What would be the point of posting this if i was a ■■■■■? Freshman screwing up his first year will get a big rise out of people right? Seriously whats the point of posting just to cal me a ■■■■■?

if all fails, there’s community college, from which people then transfer on to some
truly spectacular colleges.

don’t let your freshman year bring you down!

Honestly i dont even know what a syllabus is. When i say 0 i mean an E. And for the second half of the school year starting in november i basically only went to school to meet up with people. I never stayed past lunch which is why i skipped every single math class. I usually came around 9 or 10 somewhere in second block and i did my writing but i didn’t do enough to pass since i didn’t do any homework at all. The reason i said a zero i think is because i don’t know what my grades were.

It would still be possible to get a 3.0 if you worked hard the next 3 years and maintained a 4.0, and with a 3.0 you could get in to your state university I’d assume.

Not to mention you could get an even higher GPA if you were to take online classes + summer classes

If you actually do what you plan to do, your experience might make a nice essay if you write it well.

Honestly, if might be impossible to get into NYU or Washington at this point. There are definitely still some solid universities open, though.

Lol I would write an essay but as you probably know from my short story i suck at writing.

Just work hard and see what you can get; there are many schools open for you. You can write an essay about your improvement. Plus freshmen grades are weighted less in many schools.

Really? So you were a freshmen and you only came to school for X number of days. Was there a truancy officer in your life?

^Exactly. People responding to this guy is funny in itself.

How can you pass freshman year with all F’s?
How were you not expelled for a large number of absences?
I could go on.

I am pretty sure this is not true. Why is/was it considered a public ivy by some people?

I’m going to answer whether or not he is a ■■■■■.

The UC schools only look at your sophomore grades and up so even if you failed freshman year and got a 4.0 sophomore and junior years, you could still go to a UC, even UCLA or Berkeley.

You won’t get in at UW with a 3.0. If you want to go there, go to a community college and transfer.

No because i don’t think they have “truancy officers” in washington. But yea i did get a summons to go to truancy court and i skipped the day. So now i have to go sometime in the summer. The only thing that happens when you skip school is they give you community service.
