I just took the real SAT II writing test....and got 12 wrongs..........
what do I need to get on the essay to get at least a 700?????

how have you already taken the test?

no....the i took the one from REAL SAT II book.....lol

What did you get on the essay? You can't determine a score without the essay score...

PS- you'd need a perfect 12 to score a 700.

i'm just assuming here.......let's say if i get 12 wrongs and get an 8 on the essay??
whatwould it be?

I edited my post, see above.

But with 12 wrong on the MC and an 8 on the essay, that's a 600 (I think).

....no way....i think that sounds too low..

yeah, that does sound a little low to me, too. Hmmm...

Total MC= 60
12 wrong= 60-12=48, -(1/312)= 45
8 on essay3=24, +45= 69
69 converts to a 590 or so in my Kaplan book.

Someone else want to double check this?

i know that Kaplan's score conversion is completely wrong

yeah thats completley wrong, i'm looking at my score report from june... and i got raw scores of 13+15+7 on MC for a total of 35 and got an 8 on my essay.. my subscores were 61 on MC and 62 on essay and came out with a 610...that score is completely wrong

I have the Collegeboard REAL SAT II conversion:
If you get an 8 with 12 wrong, you will get about a 630.

calidan: you multiply the essay score by 3.43 not 3

really?? that is weird.....in june when i took it, i got 20 wrongs 1 omitted and 9 on the essay and got 630....hmmm

Yes, 20 wrong with a 9 is about the same as 12 wrong with an 8. Your essay does matter alot

Just did a barrons MC test and I got a 38 raw... I did well (for me) on improving sentences and paragraphs (7 wrong out of 30) but eek on sentence errors (11 wrong in 30). What can I do!!
