Hey guys, I don’t know if I put myself into a pickle here or not, but throughout my highschool career, I’ve been sending all of my SAT and ACT scores to Vanderbilt University (I opted to send these scores when I registered for the tests respectively). In retrospect, Vandy has all my college entrance exam test scores including good ones, such as my ACT composite of 33, and some bad ones such as a very early SAT I took blindly for practice: a 1280. Would these lower scores from earlier tempts put me in a bad spot? I’m hoping that my ACT will outshine the rest of the scores but will Vandy consider all scores or just the highest one? Thanks!
They supposedly consider just the highest score for SAT/ACT so you should be alright (https://admissions.vanderbilt.edu/quickguide/ see the “Score Choice and Superscoring Policy” section).
Some schools want them all (Stanford, Rice, …), others just want the highest. I would imagine the majority of those that don’t want them all will simply ignore all but the highest. However, I could be wrong.
