The people, they’re are just SO annoying and exclusive! and no one admits it!

My school should:

allow students to take AP classes before senior year.
get students to be more motivated about academics so that the majority of the student body actually do do their homework and show up for class.

Some of the classes we are required to take are pretty stupid. Do I really need to take career research and decision making? I know what I want to do, I look this stuff up on my own. I could have had a better class taking up that space.

I wish my school would offer AP classes. We only have dual enrollment right now, and it costs so much money. Tuition to the college is more than $600 for each class. You can take the course at the high school without paying tuition, but you won’t get college credit. I also feel that AP is a more widely accepted standard. I’m unsure about whether or not I’m going to pay tuition for all my senior year classes, because I’m afraid that I’ll pay $2000 in tuition only to have the out of state universities reject the credits.

Offer the following classes:
AP Physics B and C, AP Calculus BC, AP English Language, AP Biology, AP Computer Science, AP Environmental Science, AP Gov (both), AP Economics (both), AP Euro, AP World, and a few others.

I would make there be more asians (approx. 1 asian per grade of 100 people).

I would make there be more honors classes… and fall tennis.

Less potheads

I agree with this post.

Less difficult. I understand it’s a college prep private school and it is preparing me well for college work, but I’m not going to get into the colleges I want to get into with my GPA (3.4/3.5).

More school spirit!! We’re strong academically but our sports teams aren’t the best and I think school spirit, while cheesy, is one of the things that makes high school fun.

Same. I get so lazy sometimes without them, lol.

I personally would also like buildings and classrooms ;)

Other throughts?
(By the way, I’m not just trying to keep my thread alive–I work on a section of Student Congress at my school that works to improve aspects of our school. Reading your complaints makes me think about my own school.)

Starting and ending time
Core classes needed to graduate (although w/o them, any college is out of reach)
Make reg. ed. class sizes smaller

my school needs better food and more classes in the day we only have 6 periods

I wish we offered Theory of Knowledge (required IB diploma course for you APheads :P) some time other than zero period! I cannot do that sort of philosophical thinking when class starts at 6:15 AM!
