I’m currently scoring from 1730 to 1970. Recently my last test that I’ve took I scored a 1930(without the essay). I have 3 practice tests left: Official Practice test #3, #8 and #9. I also have 4 days left until the SAT (Feb 20) but I plan to have Feb 19 as a relaxing day. What would you do to improve your score considering you have 3 practice tests left? Thanks!
I’d do one practice test, and try to understand and learn from every single question you missed. Don’t gloss over them – REALLY understand what you missed and try to learn it so you don’t miss it on the test. I’d spend time getting ready for test day – fresh batteries in the calculator, pencils sharpened, clothes picked out with layers for temperature adjustments, id and registration are ready to go, making sure your ride is lined up and you will have plenty of time, maybe a plan for a caffeine boost the morning of the test.
If it is your first time (or even if it isn’t), give a careful read the night before of all the testing rules. Also maybe review high level strategies in your test prep book (when to guess, etc).
@Pisaller Just keep practicing since you only have three tests left might as well finish it all from the blue book. I know it’s different for everyone but I found the tests from the official sat practice tests to be near accurate on my performance on the SAT. If you want to know your real score instead of range for each test, go and use the SAT score calculator on the college panda (without spaces) site and you’ll be able to see the composite score you got by following the highest percentages shown as a safeguard.
In the end I did this for all the practice tests and got an average of my ability at a 1980…and on the Jan test I got a 1990 so it’s really close to actual prediction. But don’t be so let down by the accuracy as much (my score could have been over 2000 if curve on cr wasn’t so mean). Just do some review and if it helps on the night before the test day do some more. Have expectations that you’ll do your best because that’s what matters.
