What would you need as an International student targeting a top college with full scholarship?

We all have seen a few unbelievable stats in CC, but be disappointed with all those "You are international, you cant get scholarships, you suck, go USA!" posts. But, what stats, ECs do you need as an International from -let's say an Ivy- to get scholarships?

Ivies do not offer merit-based scholarships. You should check out their individual websites for information about need-based financial aid for international students. Typically, though, if you are aiming for a private university as an int’l student, be prepared to pay the full cost of attendance.

IMO, it’d be wiser to look at top-ranked public universities. All my international friends (all very bright) chose in the end to attend flagship universities.

Wasn’t talking about merit-based ones. But what do you need to do for it?

You need impeccable stats and a strong hook. Getting in is hard enough as an international but getting a full ride is nearly impossible. You really need to be stellar

If you weren’t talking about merit-based ones, then there’s nothing you can do… It’s based on your financial situation. Need-based aid isn’t based on what you can or cannot do.
