What would you rate yourself?

Would have liked the actual study, but that’s interesting, if true. At least there’s a scientific explanation.

Except you haven’t shown that people you subjectively find to be attractive do better on tests/grades.

Hourglass figures are rather rare though…I don’t know many women who have a naturally large bust, tiny waist and wide hips.

Yeah…Natalie Portman sure did have good grades/scores.

ONE person. Out of, oh, seven billion human beings. How many of those do you find attractive? How many of those do well academically? How many of the others?

Of course, on some level, there’s truth in that the people able to spend the most resources on making themselves appear “attractive” are the rich, who also have the best education available. But beyond that, I see no reason, and you’ve offered no scientific evidence.

I’m visiting Cornell tomorrow. Since that place is smart and all I wonder if I will see 23874985734987398758934579843783947593847 beautiful women there!!!

Hm.

I was tempted to make a Cornell weather joke, but the whole pot/kettle thing…

This thread seems to have gotten a bit off the original topic haha. Inevitable, though.

I would rate myself about a 9 overall, including looks, personality, and intelligence.
Looks about an 8, intelligence about an 8, and personality about a 10.

As far as what this thread has turned into, I don’t think intelligence has a bearing on how physically attractive a person is. Of course, there will always be attractive people that are also intelligent, but I know plenty of very intelligent people that are not attractive in the slightest. I also know some extremely beautiful people that aren’t intelligent at all…

I honestly doubt that, genetically, beauty and intelligence go hand in hand.

um, id have to say a 8 some days, 8.4 when my hairs thick or im wearing any color blue besides navy, and 9 with my shirt off and hair thick lol im tall and kinda thin though, i want muscles. :(

On a regular day = 7
Hair not pulled back = 8
But as soon as i get my braces off, I would be a 9.5 cuz i got the “average features” of an attractive female and more with my curves but i always think that teeth can be a game changer in one’s attractiveness

^^ wow my phone stinks since it posted and still said loading so my bad =/

A 15
I’m perfect

A lot of over-confident people here… o.O

I’d give myself a 3 or 4. I know I’m not very attractive, and I’m not going to lie about it on the internet to make myself feel any better.

eh, 7 ish… on facebook guys usually rate me about an 8.5 when they do those stupid “like this and I’ll rate you” thing, but i’m pretty sure they boost everyone’s to risk hurting their feelings.

I’m definitely a 10

I’d say around a 6.75-8, depending on how dressed up I am. Hahaha.

I just wanted to say that, for the record, I saw a handful of Cornell female students in my campus visit and only one of them was very pretty, everyone else = messes

^Of the colleges I’ve visited, I must say that Wisconsin had the best-looking women. They weren’t very exotic or cultured (because Wisconsin IS a state-school and it’s mostly white kids) but they were decently intelligent and attractive in that innocent, Midwestern way.

Michigan had many good-looking girls but also a lot of nerdy messes.

Notre Dame was a little better than Northwestern but not by much. (This was a surprise.) At least there were some good-looking girls at ND.

I have met attractive girls from Harvard and the other Ivies. They are much more intellectual than any of the counterparts.

Also, on my visits out west, I saw many beautiful girls from UC’s, Arizona and Arizona State etc. but I didn’t see enough of the schools to make a conclusion.

Just to be fair, I’m no Brad Pitt. These are just my observations. The average girl in Europe would blow the average American girl away.

anywhere from 5.5-7, depending on whether or not i’m wearing makeup, what i’m wearing, etc

to clarify something here -

5 isn’t necessarily average. I’m not sure what scale we’re using, but if we’re using a scale of attractiveness, the average person could well be 6 or 7 or something. Unless of course 5 was normalized to be the average, but that was never specified.
