<p>I am bored, so I am starting this thread.....</p>
<p>If I won a million dollars, I woulc probably save around 100k for college, buy a nice car and stuff and electronics that I want, and save the other 800k for later use/put it in the bank to get interest. :-)</p>
<p>Help family, pay for college, and put whatever remains into mutual funds.</p>
<p>If it was tax free, I'd put it all in the bank, but after I bought myself a nice house.</p>
<p>College, awesome summer road trip, shopping spree, bank, charities</p>
<p>Invest it into my bank account. Move to some Asian or European country for a couple of years. Travel the world. Give to charity. Buy a house in Hawaii and live there for the rest of my life.</p>

<p>i'd donate some to my favorite political candidates :-) maybe use some of it to start my own campaign one day hehe</p>
<p>i wouldn't spend it all at once....i'd buy a new wardrobe, and i'd put the rest of the money into my life-long travel fund. use it throughout my life and pay for very nice vacations to exotic places (like egypt or...malta or something! haha) and make sure to stay at the nicest hotels, eat at the nicest restaurants, and cruise on 5 star cruise liners. i'm a travel freak and if there's one thing i'm materialistic about it isn't homes, or cars or things like that.... but travelling in style. LoL </p>

<p>i would put enough $$ to get me through college / med school, use the rest to buy new clothes, a car, pay off the rest of my parents house, and ask em to pay me back (without the interest of course) and invest 1/2 of the rest into risky stocks, and the other 1/2 into safe stocks</p>
<p>I don't think a million $ is that much money today. You spend almost a third of a million going to college and law/grad/med school.</p>

500 000 --> Investing (RRSPs, future house/car money, etc...)
200 000 --> school
200 000 --> Keep so I can have vacations for the rest of my life! Travel = passion!
100 000 --> UNICEF or Nelson Mandela... something AIDS in Africa related because they need help too. 150 000 died in the tsunami. Four times that many die in South Africa (ONE country) per year of AIDS alone....</p>

<p>First and foremost use the money to go to whatever college I wanted, buy my mother a new house, buy my sister a new car, and invest whatever's leftover.</p>
<p>college & grad school for me and my sister (if she wants), finish buying house, give some to parents, donate some, buy whatever I want...</p>
