What year should I put?

Because of irregular course loads I don't follow a normal schedule of grade level. Meaning after Fall 2010 I became a Sophomore, but after Summer 2011 I'll have 59-62 credits. 59 is technically a sophomore but 60 is a junior.

What should I put for the grade level on the fafsa? It's better to put the highest I can right? Also I'm transferring and some of my credits may not transfer which may put me back down to a sophomore.

What do you guys think about all this?

Does it say “freshman, sophomore” etc. or does it say “first year, second year”…honestly I do not remember. My daughter had enough CREDITS to be a senior after her sophomore year…but we listed her as a third year student (junior) as she needed two additional years to complete her degree requirements. I hope that was right (she has graduated).
