I’m going to be a freshman next year in the college of letters and science and was wondering what current students at davis wish they knew as a freshman.

Probably just to relax and enjoy it. Take advantage of the amazing student life that Davis has to offer and don’t sweat the small stuff. Get to know the people on your floor because you can build some long-lasting friendships, but don’t worry if you don’t click with them because there are a ton of student organizations you can get involved with. Check out all the positions open to work for ASUCD–they have control over a multi-million dollar budget and operate the CoffeeHouse/Unitrans/Picnic Day. Participate in recruitment for a fraternity or sorority, play an intramural sport, the possibilities are endless.

i’ve read so much about the college town / student life that i’m excited to experience it myself! i will be sure to take full advantage of it!

meet as many people as you can. go for quantity over quality. once you run into the people you can really call your friends, everything will fall into place. networking is key for everything fun. :)
