Working a partial day today. Brother and SIL coming for a last minute dinner to celebrate my moms first heavenly bday. 
On tap also some outside painting of trim, a good closet clean out, some chaise lounging and long walks or other exercise, some gardening!
Sort of 3 days doing my own choices and my own pace! Yay!

I think it’s ok to say “ass” on CC. 
Last year, we were sad to discover that the area our cabin is in basically shuts down after Labor Day when the summer crowd leaves. That means that all the ice cream stands close, so we’ll be hitting our favorite creamery on the lake this weekend for one last indulgence.

Soccer tournament all weekend. We are in a major heatwave here (Southern CA) and it’s supposed to be over 100 all weekend, and humid. Thankful our games are on the coast where it will only be about 90 or so.

We are hoping to kayak but weather is looking iffy as of right now. We’ll see. I also hope to have a little cookout but overall it’s going to be a low key weekend.

Water temperature is perfect for swimming in the ocean during this Southern California heatwave so I’m meeting a friend for a walk and swim today before we go to lunch. H and I bought the $3 movie tickets offered tomorrow at AMC and are going to see Bullet Train during the heat of the afternoon. We are having dinner at our friends house on Sunday which will also include a swim in their pool. We are going out on Monday to look at furniture for our master bedroom and office/guestroom since our upstairs remodel is going well.

We’re moving D20 back up to school. Tomorrow will be spent getting there, unloading, setting up furniture, fighting Boston-area traffic to get to Costco…sounds fun, right??? Taking D and two of her friends out to dinner at a place in the seaport (a neighborhood I haven’t been to since it underwent a metamorphosis) for Saturday night, so that will be a fun reprieve from the drudgery of the day.

Not much. Catsitting for DD’19. My brother is coming back that we don’t see often so there is potluck at my mom’s Saturday.

S is moving to a different apartment - so we are helping load/move/unload the truck and possibly set-up tomorrow. Friends are headed up to Montreal and wanted us to go with them, but we are on move-in duty :(. S did say he would treat us for dinner.
We’ve had a few crazy weeks - so looking forward to catching up on some stuff at home. H is not going to be happy with my to-do list!

D and SIL are going to a wedding tomorrow evening so we are going to their house to babysit GD. First time we are on our own with her 
Other than that no plans. Weather will be beautiful here so I’ll be running/walking and practicing yoga outside.

H will be going to FIL’s tomorrow until Tuesday. I’ll be here caring for the critters, getting more yard work done, and otherwise enjoying my “me” time puttering around.
We have a trip coming up in a couple of weeks that I’m looking forward to, so didn’t want to abandon the critters again - plus, “school” is still in session for my pony filly. She goes to her new home in October and needs to have all the basics learned.

I forgot the we are also cat sitting D2’s kitties. She is headed to Ventura today for the long weekend and then next week she is off to Palm Springs with friends and will wfh at the Airbnb with a nice pool.

Tailgating and attending first game of my college senior’s last season. Leaving at 5:30am for the 4.5 hour drive, tailgating before and after game, spending the night there, then driving home Sunday morning after taking my son out for breakfast.
Nothing specific planned for rest of the weekend.

Another CCer pet sitting this weekend. Our daughter is off on a mini trip with husband and baby so we have her dog.
Going to see the in-laws on Sunday with my son and his gf. Otherwise we are enjoying the sunshine.

So far this week I’ve already been to the beach twice, in the pool twice, out for soft served dipped custard cones, and to a Meetup fire pit on the bay. So mainly now relaxing indoors in A/C and likely a couple more dips in the pool. Husband will likely get cookout food when he does his Sunday farmers market/Whold Foods shopping.
