<p>hi, im new as you can probably see but im probably unlike a lot of other people on here so read on</p>

<p>INTRO: anyway, i'm a special case. i'm currently a senior at a very well known public highschool (it's very competitive too) in texas but my dad recently got offered a new job in england. however, under no circumstances was i going to move the summer before my senior year so i somehow convinced them if i could stay behind and live by myself for a year. as of now, i live in a rented apartment and i fully pay my own bills, have a part time job, and i only visit my parents three times a year by flying over to england during school breaks. please don't feel sorry for me, i like this! :D on top of this, i am currently dually enrolled at rice university for night classes and in high school.</p>

<p>3.6 uw is harsh, but i know someone for whom who got accepted last yr at yale with lower, not a minority or recruited athlete/legacy either. she has great chances</p>

<p>The UW GPA thing is killing you, and SATs could be a bit higher, but if those were higher I'd say you had a good chance at most of those.</p>

<p>lollerpants, yea thats the first time i took the test but im retaking in december and ill be sending those scores in too if they're better. sidjenks, i took the biology SAT II on Nov 4th so im expecting my score in soon for the third test</p>

<p>oh one more thing, the reason my GPA is a "killer" (and i totally understand where you guys are coming from) is because i decided to take french as a foreign language when i could have easily taken german or spanish (which i am both fluent in) and gotten straight hundreds. my counselor told me it could have made a difference of .2 on my GPA so yea i absolutely hate myself for that stupid decision.</p>

<p>do i get "noble" points for doing this tho? :D :D</p>
