He's applying to UCSD, UCD, UCI, UCR, UCSB, UCSC.
thanks for all ur comments... in ADVANCE

When looking at UC chances, class rank is VERY important. Being in the top 10% is almost essential unless you have a major hook. Your friend has little chance as GPA and SAT are both below average for all UCs. Small chance at UCR and there's always Merced, which, I believe will take anyone who meets minimum requirements.

Of course anything is possible if recruited for tennis.

Chance at UCR and UCSC. Not good chances at UCI, UCD, UCSB. No chance at all at UCSD.

geez thats harsh

When in the admissions process do UCs see your class rank?

I think he will get into UCD, UCI, UCR, UCSB, and UCSC. I went to UCD. My SAT I score was really disappointing, which was 1070 (because of the low verbal score). However, my Math IIC and Chemistry were 700 and 750, respectively. I ended up as a top student at UCD. I was a student marshall in my graduating class.

is your friend ESL??? 570 writing????? and 500 in math??? it's either your friend is not a good test taker or he is just a little below average. anyway, it's pretty interesting since he/she is from california, so i'd say 20% at UCB and UCLA
and about 40% at UCD and the other UCs

bump bump bump
