What's a solid SAT score for Princeton?

You’re still speculating. Why do you distrust the stated policy of the colleges? If we’re going to speculate, I’d at most speculate that the number of sittings would matter only when two applicants have the same superscore. If I were an admission officer I wouldn’t find any reliable insight in the number of sittings. I could also speculate that the guy who got 2400 in 1 sitting had SAT tuition and took 1000 practice tests since first grade! :)

But it wouldn’t be right would it? If we expect admission officers not to rely on wild speculation, why should we do the same thing when it comes to their SAT policy?

Those two scores are within the same range, but some people think there’s a psychological difference at 2400.

Past a certain point, number of sittings, in my opinion, should have an affect, depending on the situation. I am not in any way saying that this would be a sign for them to automatically reject you, but I think that could be a small negative tilt if push comes to shove.

remember it is not all about the SAT’s-too much obsession here-doubt admissions people fret over the SAT’s as much as you think-they have other things to think about.

Okay, I’ve noticed A LOT of people talking about URMs/RAs getting into Stanford SCEA, but what about URMs and a potential walk-on for women’s b-ball for RD (i.e., me). I’m Native American and involved in my tribe and have a 2150 SAT and am very passionate about basketball, but live in MN so I am in contact with Stanford’s coach but she hasn’t really had a chance to see me play. Do you think I have much of a chance in Stanford’s (and WashU’s, my other top choice) regular decision pool? Ah, this website is FREAKING me out, I’m so anxious! :D.

And, ps, I’m not trying to get a “pity” response, but am genuinely curious, people here seem to know SO much about admissions, it’s ridiculous.

i have a pathetic 2020 … and i applied to Pton. This thread is making me feel extremely comfortable about my college choices. =)
