Whats better? AP or Community College

Whats better? Ap's or Community College Courses? I'm going to go to a pretty good school. Like UVA or maybe Brown or something like that so what would they like better? AP's or community college. Also will they take like most of your CC credits or just a few? Thanks.

definitely AP. AP scores of 4 or 5 are usually considered by top schools and you have a chance of exempting some courses. community college grades usually just show you can do college work, but they're worthless otherwise.

as my spanish teacher once said
"ya man--ap spanish is like 10 times harder than anything you'll ever encounter in community college."

and my bio teacher
"those of you who go on to community college will like this lesson but those of you with enough gunction to take AP bio here will be hugging me later."

basically ap is a lot harder and of better quality

It's easy for a college to assess your "extra" classes with AP's. Even as a high schooler, some community college courses are ridiculously easy...and those college you are applying to know that.

AP! All the way....AP is better because it is a national exam, which your peers will be also taking, so the colleges can compare you.

colleges cannot tell how difficult cc classes are.

take your aps - they can see your school's track record

also, comm coll classes arent accepted as credits everywhere

AP fo sho.

what about aps v. courses at a really good college (like ivies or good state schools)?

Well, if the course was offered through your school (like part of your school day), the college course would be better.

However, most high schools don't have those kinds of agreements with universities, so you could take AP's during the school day and extra college classes in the evenings/weekends.

btw sauvage do you live in NJ?
