Community college classes are good, but AP classes are better because in theory, AP classes are standardized and follow a university-level curriculum.

okay, lets say that i took spanish 201 (ap spanish) at a local cc because i couldn't fit in my schedule. besides, i was a sophomore. are they gonna count that against me or what? and i'm also gonna have to take econ at the cc, cuz our school doesn't have ap.

well, you can if you want to take the ap tests to get college credit but from an admissions standpoint, ap CLASSES look much better than cc classes because, as it has been said, the class is designed to teach to a standardized curriculum which can be compared to other applicants. i mean, how would a college know whether the classes offered at your cc are up to par with an actual college class or even an AP class.

It really depends on where you're going and what you are going to do.

I'm pretty much taking CC classes full time next year and AP classes on Florida Virtual School. Sure it's non-traditional but it certainly looks better than the standard schedule that the vast majority of people take.

Besides, all the public universities in Florida have to accept all these credits. That means that I'll start college as a junior if all goes well.

I'm taking SPA 111-212 this year... it's very weird but it will be 4 classes of college Spanish. I'll take the AP Spanish language exam this year, and after taking SPA 260/300 I'll take the SAT II with listening. If I go to a state school, I'll almost have a minor in Spanish.... and from everything, I'll probably be a junior.... of course, I'm hoping not to go to a state school.

screw that! i hate spanish so why would i even bother taking the subject test or the ap exam? lol w/e this is like the only ap-cc substitute im making

see, my school is retarded, so if you take classes at the college and get an A, you get a 90... B you get an 80... which really can screw over your GPA (i've got a 99.45 and i'm definately not blowing it on classes at CC)
