I recently took the SAT Subject Test for Chemistry, and got back my score today. If I wanted to pursue a major similar to or of Chemistry, is a 760 good enough? For those who aren’t familiar with the Subject Tests’ scale, it’s (200-800).

Yes, but do you think getting an 800 is the only good enough score? You display a proficiency in basic chemistry, you’re good. Stop it.
I heard that placing in the top 25 percentile of any category is what is considered good for most major colleges. A 760 in Chem puts you in the 77th percentile, which is right up there.

thank you @asbks123 and I’m not sure if that’s good enough, I mean it is basic chemistry and if I want to pursue a career in chemistry shouldn’t I have that score higher? But thank you, @rubberfall
A friend was at an info session at an Ivy League university recently and a parent asked if an applicant (presumably his child) should send in his two 800 subject test scores and not his 790 and the admissions officer was very clear that anything over a 750 is great and that if you retake a test that you receive a 750 or above on, you actually can hurt your case.
@ypmagic she? hahahah thank you
@MarineroDelMar You mean your parents never told you about the operation?
