So many people tell me different things

i get really confused as to whether I really have a chance
at an ivy league or not

when I was a freshman, i really had high aspirations
but as the time for coll apps gets closer and closer
reality hits me

am i really good enough to get into an ivy league school?
I really don't know

I really want to get into
Stanford
Pomona
Harvard
Brown
Swarthmore
Amherst
Williams
UPENN
Northwestern
Yale Princeton

no, your stats aren't good enough.
you're only president of like.. 4 things.
you don't have 2400. OMG.
you only took 5 APs your junior year.
you DON'T HAVE 4.0!

EDIT__
wow.. how demoralizing (for me)
knowing that you will be my competition just.. makes me :( haha

anyway. why do people post these things?
you have almost 4.0 UW
president of like 803728 things
pretty good SAT score

you KNOW you're good. be proud but no need to flaunt it y'know?
SOO many people with WAYY lower qualifications get into ivys. but hey, even for you, no ivy is a 'shoo-in'
but in all honesty, you have a GREAT chance in all of them!

sorry dude
i didn't realize i was being such a jackass

it's just that now that junior year is almost done
now that senior year is almost here
damn... it gets pretty damn scary

some of my friends who i thought could get anywhere
got rejected. not even waitlisted. i was basing myself
on the top seniors this year, and quite frankly, it's
freakin nerve wracking.

oh my bad!!!

i thought you were a guy at first
sorry sorry

dudette
haha

lol it's okay about the 'mistaken gender' hahah.
mm no you weren't being a 'jackass'. it's just that so many people on CC are like.. way up in their stats/ECs. and honestly, didn't you 'know' you have a good chance?

what were your rejected friends' stats and schools? (out of curiousity)

i dunno relaly exaclty
wahat i'm suppose to expect now

he and i have a lot of simliar things

the thing you didn't mention about your friend was their essays--- perhaps they weren't up to par, since eventually--- when everybody has such fabulous scores, essays are what it comes down to.
so with your (as well as a ton of other CCers) great stats, all you've got to freak out about now is your essay (:
