Can any current students tell me what they think the best and worst thing is about Emory?

Also, what are the different reputations of the Sororities there? Just a thumbnail is fine.

best: fun community that knows how to party but also knows when to study, and everyone here is pretty smart
worst: the races (esp. koreans) tend to be a little segregated, and the duc food is downright awful at times, with nothing edible except for salad bar and pizza.

sororities: all i know is that tri delt is considered to be the "best one"

^ re Tri Delt I've heard the exact opposite...

Best: The professors are amazing and really approachable.
Worst: No pedestrian bridge over Clifton Road means walking to class is a life and death struggle if you live in Turman, Woodruff, or Clifton Tower. (But then Turman is being demolished and we upperclassmen in Woodruff and the Tower knew what we were getting into).

are the korean girls hot??

wow u must be really curious, or just creepy, to have made a cc account just to ask that question

Funny thing, i just asked my son (an Emory senior) the same question last weekend. Our neighbor is an ESP semifinalist and is beginning to weigh his choices.

My son feels the best things at Emory have been the professors --he has been enriched by developing close relationships with several -- and his peers, all of whom are smart kids but don't feel they have any need to talk about it, no sense of hubris.

Sororities: You really can't say which is the best. They change every year with the new pledge class. And everyone has their own opinion. It really depends what you like, and the stereotypes never fit. You should come rush for yourself and see where you fit in the best.

Someone asked a question also about the 'frat scene.' You might also find that informative.
