What's my best plan B if I dont get into UF?

I’m currently a senior in high school in Florida. My main goal is to get into UF but as i have a 3.8 weighted GPA and my SAT score is less than 1200 that doesnt seem likely. My goal is to end up in UF but I want to know whats my best plan b if i don’t get directly admitted? I was thinking either Santa fe, Miami dade Honors (if i get accepted), or Miami dade, or maybe even FIU. Then to get my Associates (AA) and transfer to UF. My ultimate goal is UF because i want to major in Pharmacy and UF is ranked in the Top 10 nationally for their School of Pharmacy.
Please help I dont know what to do and i need to start sending applications and planning and shii.

Thank you (:

Around a third of UF’s undergraduate students (juniors and Seniors) are transfer students, it’s a very common path to UF. It’s also very cost effective.

All of your options are good. Santa Fe has an excellent record for transferring students into UF (as would be expected).

Good Luck!

@Gator88NE where did you get this information? It gives me hope to transfer in haha

@stressed4lifee You can find this information in a colleges Common Data Set.

http://ir.aa.ufl.edu/common-data-set

Section C has First time, First Year Freshman Admission info.

Section D has Transfer Admission info. For example, for 2016-2017, UF had 6,300 transfer applicants, admitted 2,595 and enrolled 1,982.

Compare the 1,982 enrolled transfer students to the 6,800 enrolled Freshman.

However, I would highly recommend the 2017 Admissions Report. Lots of good info, including stats on transfer students.

@Gator88NE Thanks so much!

I would do Plan B 1° Santa Fe Honors C:2° Santa Fe D: Miami Dade Honors.

Early Registration is avery big deal in college. You meet the basic qualifications (you’ll have to send a sample of academic work). And 88% Santa Fe Honors students transfer to UF. So… what’s not to like? :slight_smile:
