<p>first off, don't worry about the high score on the Spanish not meaning much bc you're hispanic. admissions doesn't even get that information about your ethnicity, so unless you make it obvious (or your last name is obv) they won't know. also, i think they realize a lot of hispanic people don't test well in spanish, and may not know spanish well or be ignorant of grammar.</p>
<p>you don't send teacher recs for uc's, btw</p>
<p>make sure your essays don't sound too "woe is me, none of this is my fault"</p>
<p>your weakness is definitely your low UC gpa. it seems oddly low for a person who scores highly... did you get bad grades, or is that an unweighted gpa? bc my uw gpa is 3.8 but my uc gpa is 4.5(ish)</p>
<p>make sure you that you have a clear and (somewhat) concise "message" that comes across on your app. it's better if you don't sound too scattered in your interests. make sure you let them know what your passion is.</p>
<p>admissions is a crapshoot, so i can't tell you your chances.</p>
