What's my shot to be a Bruin?

first off, don't worry about the high score on the Spanish not meaning much bc you're hispanic. admissions doesn't even get that information about your ethnicity, so unless you make it obvious (or your last name is obv) they won't know. also, i think they realize a lot of hispanic people don't test well in spanish, and may not know spanish well or be ignorant of grammar.

you don't send teacher recs for uc's, btw

make sure your essays don't sound too "woe is me, none of this is my fault"

your weakness is definitely your low UC gpa. it seems oddly low for a person who scores highly... did you get bad grades, or is that an unweighted gpa? bc my uw gpa is 3.8 but my uc gpa is 4.5(ish)

make sure you that you have a clear and (somewhat) concise "message" that comes across on your app. it's better if you don't sound too scattered in your interests. make sure you let them know what your passion is.

admissions is a crapshoot, so i can't tell you your chances.

I don't know mme-ln. I do however remember my calculus teacher laughing hysterically when our school threw a huge party for an API "marginally better than a school pervaded by stupid, useless, retarded-ass kids with serious mental disablilties."

well i've gotten mostly B's, a few A's and no C's. i think i calculated it correctly, but it is a bit low.

yeah since UC GPA only offsets 2 Bs in AP class for sophmore year so if you get like 3 or 4 Bs chances are you'll get a below 4.0 UC GPA...

take it back. i just can't calculate uc gpa. it's a *3.9

i mean 3.83 sorry it's really late.
