<p>One of my friends who also got into Penn ED says that she got a bunch of new mail this week. However, she’s Wharton, and I’m College. Did anyone else get mail? - I’m wondering if the post office lost some while we were away on vacation last week.</p>
<p>I was guessing that the next mailing would be about housing in April and that we’d get our PennKey in mid-May. Anyone else know the facts on this? Is the housing request mailed after Penn Previews in April or before? Thanks.</p>
<p>I received the Wharton Packet through the mail, however most of the content has already been posted on the Wharton 2010 website. I don't know about the college or when the other mail will come.</p>
<p>Lucky98 - Thanks for the info. Here's the link I got from that thread to what's going on in the college, including timelines, mailings etc. BTW, First day for freshmen = Sept. 1, First day of classes is Sept. 7 ! </p>

<p>Whoops, sorry. On that college site, even though the dean's letter is to the class of 2010, it looks like the calendar of events etc. refers to the class of 2009 and hasn't been updated yet. It still gives an idea of what's to come - looks like the big packet comes in June sometime(although last year ppl said they got their PennKey in mid-May, so idk).</p>

<p>It looks like Penn Previews are on April 7, April 10-14, and April 17 and 18, this year.</p>

<p>jbk307 - Thanks much for that link. Looks like move-in day for freshmen is August 31. One very interesting thing I noticed is that it looks like next year Penn goes back to school after winter break on Jan. 8(early compared to most schools) and they are done for the year after May 4(also early). But the following year it looks like they are pushing everything up by a week so that we don't go back til mid January and finish up mid May, instead.</p>

<p>I think packets come same time as RD gets them. Penn Previews are when prospective RD and already admitted ED students can come to campus, meet advisors, take tours etc. It's a good way to see the dorms, make a final decision (RD ppl) and meet other ppl in your class.</p>

<p>HOusing does not come until April -- check out the FAQ page on the Admissions Decision website.</p>
<p>I think we ED people should get first dibs on dorms just because we care about and love Penn enough to apply early despite the financial obligations. First come first serve, and we are the first to apply.</p>
