I know that College board lists the topics that are supposed to be on the test but are there things that are listed but aren’t actually on the test? More importantly, are there topics that aren’t listed that ARE on the test?
Barron’s Level 2 text (which is a 2016 version) mentions: Functions, Linear Functions, Quadratics, Higher degree polynomials, Solving Polynomial inequalities, Triangle trigonometry,Trig functions, Exponential and Log functions, Rational Functions, Parametric equations, Piecewise functions, Transformations and symmetry, conics, polar coordinates, 3D geometry, counting, Complex numbers, Matrices , series and sequences, Vectors, Statistics, Probability.
From the practice tests, the highest level of math it goes to is Precalc (it touches on topics such as limits, sums, and sequences). Everything else is generally able to be solved, like we learned it some time ago (maybe in middle school) but probably forgot (like greatest-integer/step functions). The CB listed topic may encompass a sub-topic that you may not have learned yet, but technically, the test doesn’t have anything past Precalc.
