so, i was thinking about what i could possibly say if my interviewer at groton asked me why i wanted to go...
to tell you the truth, idk what groton is really strong in.... is it strong in the athletics (that's what it looks like from the website), or arts...???
can anyone care to share what they think groton is strong in?!

Well I mean… why DO you want to go to Groton? That’s what you should tell them. Also, they will not “possibly” ask that question hahah they will definitely ask it, so be prepared with thoughts about what you will say but don’t plan it out. If you just keep a few thoughts in the back of your mind, they will come out naturally when he/she asks you the question.

I don’t think my son was asked that directly BECAUSE on the application his short essay is that very question AND it is part of the parent statement. He was asked why he wanted to come to boarding school in general and what other schools he has looked at. I think it was kind of obvious why he wanted to be there; intense academics all around, strong classics department that the entire student body is involved in (required 2 years of Latin plus modern language), small size, and the chapel program, of course…and the performing arts center, and the campus, and the traditions, … he’s in love with the school.
