What's so good about Warren?

I was admitted to Warren College, and I was wondering about the benefits that Warren students [will] receive.

I heard that they have the least GE requirements.

i'm pretty sure muir has the least GE reqs

Most engineering majors choose Warren College because it has flexible GE's. Nearly all of my UCSD friends in BioE, Biotechnology, and MAE are in Warren.

is that why there are fewer requirements for GE's at warren? 'cause people wanna emphasize on their majors, like engineering and such? well i guess it's for people who wanna go straight to studying their majors...

-Close proximity to Warren Lecture Hall =P, well OK that's not an advantage. Seriously...

-Easy GEs..especially for engineers
-Earl's, but prepare to pay crazy prices. But still convenient
-Relatively quiet, you can definitely get studying done here, but depending on what you want to do in college that could be a disadvantage. The fact that there are a lot of engineers here says something about social life here too, if you're into what's perceived as the "college experience". There are parties in Warren but not as much as other dorms obviously, because there are some kinda peculiar people here to be honest. BUT in general everyone is cool-laid back.
-The residence halls are nice, if you want a single you have a pretty good chance of getting one.
-Apartments are nice too...a lot of storage space and your own kitchen, etc

"is that why there are fewer requirements for GE's at warren? 'cause people wanna emphasize on their majors, like engineering and such? well i guess it's for people who wanna go straight to studying their majors..."

No. Different colleges just have different philosophies that they were founded upon, which affect how many and what GEs are required.

Warren GE's in general are pretty nice, but for engineers, they make it even lower because of the rigorous requirements that engineers already have to complete.

would Warren be good for those majoring in chemistry or biology?

so being an aerospace engineer at revelle is pretty bad? im screwed o_O

No no, thats a GOOD thing ric, because it lowers your GEs.

so i dont have to do those humanities and biology GEs? thats what is bothering me

Math doesn't bother you? I'm trying to kill off math because I suck at math.

not really, but im not in love with it like some people
