What's so special about UCLA's Film major?

<p>Why do they only admit 15 students (2%) on average per year? Is it really a special elite program to make it very competitive to get in?</p>

<p>To my knowledge USC is 1# when it comes to film, but at the same time it seems like UCLA is even more competitive to make it through their program</p>

<p>I applied to both from SMC but I like my supplements for UCLA better</p>

<p>Can somebody share more info about this?</p>
