What's the best way to improve on ACT English?

I am currently sitting between 25-28 on about 3-4 english practice test and don’t feel like i’m getting any better. I think that I miss/don’t know some grammar rules that keep me from the 30s on english (i understand the passages and rarely miss any questions related to sentece placement/meaning fullfilled/kept or deleted…). Do you have any suggestions for such? How should i prepare for it?

I get the sense that a lot of people here on college confidential like to exaggerate their scores. Another poster claimed getting a 34 on reading when he didn’t even finish the last passage. That’s nearly impossible as you can miss 2 at most out of 40 to get a 34 and sometimes only 1. You got 17 wrong on this english test. a raw score of 58/75 is almost always a 25, not a 25-28

actually 18 wrong, i miscounted. so a raw score of 57/75
